PrepUp Scholarship
Are you ready to PrepUp?
PrepUp is a scholarship program that provides college counseling services to aspiring, academically-focused, low-income students.
Beginning in 10th or 11th grade, each student is paired with one of our counselors, who provides holistic, one-on-one guidance. Services cover: the development of a list of potential colleges; support with college applications and personal essays; and guidance on financial aid and scholarship possibilities.
This is a great opportunity for students to receive expert guidance and support and empower themselves to reach their educational goals.
To be considered for PrepUp, an applicant must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and an adjusted gross income (AGI) that does not exceed 200% of federal poverty guidelines (based on family size). Those guidelines can be found here. Students accepted into PrepUp will be required to submit proof of eligible income, which could include:
- Parent(s)/Guardian previous-year tax return (with sensitive information concealed/blacked-out and confirmation of no additional income);
- Eligibility for free/reduced lunch;
- An SAT/ACT fee waiver;
- Statement from a school counselor or school official verifying eligibility.
